Remember the awesome Veneno hypercar that cost into the millions and came with a 750 horsepower V12 engine? Well, now there's a car called the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce and it has just as much power at a semi-affordable price.

We really don't need to overhype this speed machine, since with 0 to 100 km/h taking just 2.8 seconds and a top speed somewhere in excess of 350km/h (217mph), this is the fastest production car ever made by Lamborghini.

There are plenty of twin-turbo Aventadors out there that can deliver over 1000 horsepower, but none of them are as exciting to look at as the Superveloce. And just to give you and idea of what kind of power we're talking about, the 4.75-liter V12 engine of the 1982 Countach LP 500S made 375 hp, exactly half what we have here.

The new Aventador model costing €327,190 plus taxes was driven onto the Geneva Motor Show stage by none other than Stephan Winkelmann, the charismatic 50-year old CEO of the company.

“The new Aventador Superveloce continues the Lamborghini tradition of SV models, pushing the boundaries in terms of performance and pure driving emotion,” says Stephan, which is a shy statement considering what kind of car we're talking about.

The SV doesn't only stand for power. From the front splitter to the gigantic bolt-on rear wing, all the aerodynamics have been designed to give the car 170 percent more downforce. Speaking of the wing, this comes with three adjustable settings for either low drag or high pushing power.

Behind the octagonal grille and the revised carbon fiber decking, the 750 horsepower beast of an engine remains firmly attached to its seven-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) gearbox, which can shift a gear in 50 milliseconds in Corsa mode. A 50 kilogram weight reduction, standard ceramic brakes and Pirelli P-Zero Corsa sport tires complete the track-oriented package that's on offer.
