If you’re a real car enthusiast, chances are that some of your presents have something in common with our four-wheeled friends, so it doesn’t really matter if Santa dropped by with an air freshener or a new hi-fi audio system, a gasoline coupon or who knows, maybe a brand new car.

Writing a thank you letter however isn’t so easy, especially when you’re doing it for Santa because he knows you better than anyone on Earth. Not to mention that he knows all the tricks in the world, so in case you’re planning to give excessive compliments in your letter, well… you definitely have to avoid doing it.
Always begin your letter with “Dear Santa”. He loves children and calling him “dear” is the best way to remind that his “job” is to make kids and grownups happy every Christmas.
Use the first paragraph to thank Santa for the presents before anything else, it’s very important to be polite all the time. Santa Claus wants to make sure that giving you the things you asked for was a good decision.
Avoid saying anything about cars before praising the reindeers. You love cars, but Santa is an old-fashioned guy and still relies on his 9-reindeerpower sleigh to travel around the world. If you’re a tree-hugger, it would be a good idea to bring electric cars into discussion, but don’t go too far with it. Promise Santa that you won’t break the rules next year and that you intend to take care of you car as if it were one of your family members. You will wash it regularly, control it gently and you will never, never scratch it.
Talk to Santa about future car technologies, the old guy knows everything about what’s under the hood of a vehicle and Mrs. Clause isn’t so chatty when it comes to head-up displays and things like that.
Last but not least, Santa Claus likes to read about happy families, so don’t forget to mention that you use your car to spend more time with your wife and kids and you love to go on road trips. Give him a hint about the things you’d like to receive next year, but always underline that you’ll provide more info in another letter. This way, Santa knows that he will hear from you again in a short time.

Thank you for the new MP3 player, that was exactly what I needed to make driving a bit more pleasant. I must admit that I was a bit surprised this morning when I saw the new device under the Christmas tree, I always knew you love me, but I was afraid this may be a little bit too expensive.
How’s Mrs. Clause? Hope she’s doing fine. What about the reindeers? I bet they’re tired, it’s hard to do such a great job every year, they definitely deserve the best. Still can’t believe they’re so much faster than traditional cars.
Although I must admit that green vehicles are getting more popular by day. Have you heard of Nissan Leaf? That’s what I call innovative technology, even if some people believe an electric car destroys the spirit of gasoline engines. But the industry is changing, there’s no doubt about it.
Did I mention that I’m still trying to get used to my new turbo engine? I don’t know why but every time I press the throttle I break the speed limit, this brought me two speeding tickets a few months ago. I’ll never do that again, that’s for sure.
That’s one of my New Year’s resolutions actually, I hope to drive safer in 2012 and be as kind as possible. To both my car and the other drivers. That’s one of the things every driver should try in the end…
But enough about me, have you heard of Volvo’s City Safety? It’s already available on a number of cars sold by Volvo and it does such a great thing at avoiding car accidents that usually take place within cities. The vehicles are equipped with a front camera that measures the distance to an object in front of the car and the speed, and in case it detects that an impact is about to happen, it automatically brakes down the car. That’s pretty efficient, I’m telling you!
I like it so much that I’d love to buy one next year, although that would really be expensive. But Volvo S60 looks great and who knows, maybe I’ll win the lottery and this way I could afford one…
