Autoevolution Poll Decides: F1 Medal System Is No Good

We found out in our previous poll that new ideas are often received with overwhelming enthusiasm, but this is not always true and the latest poll is a definite proof of that.

Since the pinnacle of motorsports, F1 that is, was boiling over the new medal system proposed by the International Automobile Federation we wanted to see what our readers thought about it. As a quick reminder, the proposed system states that the driver to score the most wins throughout the season will become world champion, regardless of the points scored throughout the season.

Quite unsurprisingly, most of our readers (41 percent to be more precise) see the proposed system as source of increased chaos in the Formula 1 and answered “It will only create more chaos”.

Only 25 percent of our respondents thought the new “winner takes all” set of rules would be beneficial and chose to opt for the “I think it's a great idea” option.

Thirty-two of our users weren't that radical and admitted that a mixed system would be a wiser choice.

Overall, the results are not exactly mind blowing as they sort of echo the F1 drivers' opinions regarding the over discussed “winner takes all” system.

If you are a poll fan and want to express your opinion in any possible matter, be sure to check out our homepage (left side, after a bit of scrolling down) for the latest debate. The next issue we have prepared for you concerns General Motors and their current bankruptcy problem. What's your opinion? Do you think they'll make it?
