As far as automotive-inspired wristwatches, our opinion of them is not a particularly positive one, as they are usually just plain silly, and exagerrated. However, the Autodromo Monoposto, with its simple and very stylish design is one of the few exceptions. Simplicity is another area where this particular watch scores highly, and in fact, it makes up a large part of its total appeal.
Its design is based on 1950s Grand Prix cars, such as the Alfa Romeo 159 and the Lancia D50, and it has a very nice-looking redline painted on the inside of the glass, at ‘9,500 rpm’, or 9:30. It measures 43 milimeters across, and has a classy-looking leather strap. It also does without many of the buttons that seem to clutter the sides of modern watches, and, again, its simplicity wins it extra points here, as well.

It is available with one of two finishes: black or matte silver, and only 500 will ever be made. Still, while pricey, the $875 price tag doesn`t seem as steep as some other similar watches we`ve seen, and considering the fact that it looks better than most of them, we say if you are looking for a niche watch, such as this, the Autodromo Monoposto should definitely make your shortlist.
