Autodelta to Premiere Two New Alfa Romeos at MPH 2009

Aftermarket Alfa Romeo design and tuning house Autodelta announced that it will be showcasing two new additions to its range at the upcoming MPH Motor Show featuring Top Gear Live in London. The new models are dubbed Autodelta J4 3.2 C and the Alfa Brera S ‘Compressore’, with the latter being tweaked by Prodrive with a significant boost to its power output.

The Autodelta J4 2.2 C package completes the petrol engine range upgrades for the Alfa 159, offering a new interpretation of the 3.2-litre V6 version, that now outputs 352 horsepower and 435 Nm of torque.

Alongside the new supercharging system with intercooler, the J4 3.2 C features upgrades to the chassis, electronics, brakes, and suspension, with the adjustable coilovers evolving from the J4 2.2 C. The enhancements were achieved through the tuner's R&D program, which takes into account the new weight of the V6 engine, its distribution and dynamic properties.

As we said, joining the J4 2.2 C is the Alfa Brera S 3.2 ‘Compressore’ which has lost 100 kg thanks to the use of front-wheel drive rather than the standard Brera V6’s Q4 all-wheel drive system. Performance figures are the same as of the J4 2.2 C model, namely 352 horsepower and 435 Nm of torque.

Traction is further improved by fitting the mechanical limited slip differential (LSD), which operates in combination with the car’s standard electronic Q2 system. Completing the package is the Autodelta Sportline suspension kit which was developed for the Brera chassis through our exhaustive R&D program.

Furthermore, the height-adjustable Autodelta Sportline coilover suspension features specific new spring rates and 40 different firmness adjustment settings.

Completing Autodelta’s lineup for the 2009 MPH Show is the Autodelta Spider Superflow, a recent custom-built project based on the last-generation Spider model.
