Recent rumors coming in from Oxford claim that the MINI Coupe might be in trouble, alongside the Roadster and the Paceman, due to low sales. That doesn’t mean anything to current owners though, the guys that love their rides.
The Coupe MINI might not be the best looking car around. Heck, a lot of people still claim that its design reminds them of a backwards baseball hat but we’re guessing that’s just a matter a taste. We even had a go behind its wheel a while back and we didn’t completely hate it.

In Australia, you’d really have to love such a car to get one, as the prices for it are pretty steep. That being said, our friend over here liked it so much that he didn’t just pony up the money for it but he also invested quite a lot into making it his own over the next years.

Now, he’s brought it into Indonesia and Hawk’n’Poke was there to shoot a beautiful photo gallery of it. Belonging to a fellow automotive blogger, the ride is pretty sweet, as you can imagine.

On the outside small details come together to create a beautiful mosaic made up of carbon fibre bits here and there (like all the handles), a wrap on the spoiler and a new hood scoop made of the same material. The headlight and taillight trims have been plastidipped alongside the grille. Oh! And we should not forget the 17 inch Advan RZ DF wheels.

Inside Satin White trims await and welcome you accompanied by an Ultragauge, MINI GP2 Recaro seats and a steering wheel decorated with carbon fibre trims.

The 1.6-liter turbocharged engine under the bonnet has plenty of power to deliver the thrills you’re seeking but safety should always be a top concern. Therefore, new RDA Slotted and dimpled rotors have been installed with Remsa brake pads.

For a better sound, ARK design 2.5 inch catbacks were added to the mix while the stance was dropped a bit with the help of some ST coilovers, Whiteline 20mm rear sway bars, Whiteline endlinks and a JCW strut bar.
