Great news for BMW enthusiasts from Australia! According to Car Advice, quoting official sources, the facelifted BMW M5 will arrive in the continent-state with the Competition Package as standard.
Furthermore, compared to the previous model, the price increase will be of just AUD400, reaching AUD229,990. As standard you'll receive soft-close doors, foot-operated opening/closing boot lid, digital radio, and the iDrive touch system.

The ZCP (Competition Package) will bring you 15 extra horsepower and the same 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque out of the 4.4-liter biturbo V8 under the bonnet. Furthermore, the chassis has undergone a lot of work and is now stiffer and more agile, especially on track.

The active differential, suspension settings and steering system were also improved and will now deliver more precise handling. On the inside, the steering wheel is now done in the same style as the one found on the M6 and safety features include lane departing warnings, forward collision warnings and pedestrian collision warning systems.

The new M5 will arrive in showrooms around Australia in September and will be available in Pyrite Brown, Frozen Blue and Pure Metal Silver, alongside the wide array of colors included in the BMW Individual program.
