UK based sportscar manufacturer Lotus announced that the new Exige S has arrived in Australia, valued at AU$119,900 plus on-road taxes.
The mid-engined Exige offers super-car performance at a lower price tag, being powered by a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that boasts 350 hp (257.5 kW) and 400 Nm (269 lb-ft) of torque.
Weighing only 1200 kg, the agile little car does the standing 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in less than 4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 247 km/h (153 mph). It also features a three-mode Lotus Dynamic Performance Management (DPM) system that allows switching between Touring, Sport and DPM off and it even comes with a fourth Race mode, that gives maximum traction, better handling and launch control.
The Exige S is believed to be followed by more Lotus models that will arrive in Australia as late as next year.
