Aussie BMW 760Li, Priced at AU$386,000

German manufacturer BMW announced today pricing for the Australian bound version of the 760Li flagship. Available in the country only in its long wheel-base version, the 760Li will start at AU$386,000, a reasonable price the manufacturer says, as the new model "is the most comprehensively equipped BMW ever offered in Australia."

The combination of twelve cylinders and the new eight-speed automatic transmission ensures a maximum of sophistication, refinement and exclusivity in the luxury segment,” Stavros Yallouridis, BMW Australia managing director said in a release. "In addition, our no-cost option program will ensure the car is perfectly tailored to the exacting requirements of our V12 customers.

The 760Li will offer its customers, as standard features, 20-inch double-spoke light-alloy wheels, Integral Active Steering, active front seats, leather finished instrument panel, ceramic surround for controls, fine-wood inlay leather steering wheel, massage function in the rear-seat backrest, BMW Individual rear-seat reading lights, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, alcantara headliner and BMW Individual full ‘Merino’ leather trim. And, of course, the V12...

The TwinPower Turbo 6.0l engine develops 536 hp and 750 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm, allowing the saloon to accelerate from naught to sixty in 4.6 seconds, while maintaining fuel efficiency and emission values at acceptable levels: 13l/100 km and 303 g/km CO2.

The 760Li joins the already Australian present 7 Series: 730d, 740i, 740Li, 750i and 750Li. According to BMW Australia data, the 7 Series accounts for 40 per cent of all sales in 2009 in its segment.
