Audi has been working on a development process than can allow the company to cover more and more segments of the market. An important part of this process are the concept cars, which allow us to see what the German automaker is preparing and we are now here to talk about a new one that should arrive at the Detroit Auto Show.
In an interview for Bloomberg, Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said that the automotive producer plans to give us a concept name “Vail” at this year’s edition of the North American International Auto Show.
The designation is borrowed from the skiing location in Colorado and the vehicle should borrow the Q3 compact crossover’s tech side. The details are scarce at the moment, but fortunately we don’t have to wait for too long, as the Vail should be revealed on January 9th.
Stadler also told the aforementioned source that the Audi A2 has received the green light, adding that the automaker will also start producing vehicles in the US, with the move scheduled for 2015.
