Audi V8 Swapped Toyota MR2 for Sale - Pocket Rally Car

The Toyota MR2 is quite a thrill to drive even in stock form, if you get the turbocharged version, of course. It’s small, the engine sits right behind the seats and sends power to the back. If you’re a novice you might crash it pretty quickly but otherwise, it’s a fun car to start racing.

And even when the force-fed 1.6-liter four-pot fails to surprise you anymore, there’s still room for more. Like swapping it with a V8. Yep, if you’re a maniac, there’s enough room back there to fit a vee eight.

Woodsport’s Paul Wood built such a monster, fitting an MR2 Mk1 with an Audi 4.2-liter V8 bolted down to a 6-speed gearbox. Don’t just sit there and dream about one, because you can buy this one. The builder says he hasn’t got time to put the car to good work so it needs to find a new owner.

The seller says the list of mods is huge and you can find the full one on different forums if you search the car. Among the highlights we’ll like to mention it has a new coilover suspension, Porsche 996 brakes, Azev wheels, Cobra seats (which need a bit of mending), a half cage and a mappable Vems ECU; they even offer a laptop equipped for the job.

Price is set at £10,995 (€14,052/$17,062) and you can find the full ad here.
