When Audi gave us the TT-S, fans were thrilled, but still wanted something more. The Germans listened and offered the world the TT-RS. However, there are still many that still want extra muscle and turn to aftermarket developers for that.
Now, it seems that Audi also wants to cover that segment and is reportedly working on a more powerful version of the TT-RS. According to Automobile France, the vehicle is expected to arrive next year, with its turbocharged 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder engine being tweaked to deliver 385 hp , instead of its current 340 hp.

Knowing the VW Group’s policy, we expect to receive a bit more than just a new ECU map, as far as the engine mods go. As for the rest of the car, Audi is expected to remove the rear seats, install new lightweight alloy rims and introduce other moves that should save around 60 kg, with the car also getting a fixed rear wing.

Basically, we should get a miniature reproduction of what the GT treatment brought to the R8 and R8 Spyder. We’ll be back with more details as they become available.
