The upcoming Consumer Electronics Show will begin on January 6, 2016, and it will be the 6th time when Audi will be providing insights into its latest developments, products and mega-trends in the areas of electrification, digitalization and piloted driving, as well as offering an outlook on the automotive future, since it's influenced more than ever by electronics.
Last time, Audi attended CES 2015 with the motto “Next Chapter” and presented new connect solutions, infotainment modules, control and display concepts, and new developments in lightning technology.

Among those, the German carmaker introduced the hybrid-powered Audi prologue piloted driving supercar and the interior of the then-new Q7.

Now, we are sure that everyone is wondering what other gizmos Audi will reveal at the 2016 edition of the tech show, and we can’t blame them for asking.

For starters, as you all know, the brand with the four rings brought the high-tech e-tron quattro Concept into attention at Frankfurt. The electric crossover concept reinvented everything from mirrors, which were replaced by cameras, to aerodynamic elements that came out of nowhere.

This e-tron quattro Concept had a lot of toys on it, a solar panel roof that generates 100km of extra range per year, for example, and it was for the first time OLED technology was used for a car's lights.

For the CES 2016 edition, though, based on what it has done in previous years, our guess is that Audi will probably bring either a new version of the e-tron quattro concept but with some improved (if you can say that) gizmos on it, or maybe another concept model altogether. One thing is certain, the carmaker did announce that a concept car wearing the four rings would be present at the upcoming CES, so we are prepared for anything.

Audi attended the International Consumer Electronics Show for the first time back in 2010, and in 2011 it was the first carmaker to make an appearance with its own exhibit space.
