German manufacturer Audi announced the debut of an internal program developed to assist the company's most competent employees through both training and recreational activities. The program, called “Development for High-Flying Employees” is based on last year's “Training” employment agreement signed between the employer and the employees.
“We must think about tomorrow today – not only in developing our vehicles but also in training our staff. It’s the only way to ensure that our company maintains its future-compatibility and competitive edge in the long term,” Werner Widuckel, Audi member of the board for human resources said in a release.
As said, the program will offer worthy employees specific and inter-disciplinary training, information sessions and excursions through the Audi Akademie. But that's not all. Audi will even give financial support to those who they think deserve it.
For each month an employee takes part in the training, he/she will receive 500 euros/month, while remaining full type employees on a leave-of-absence agreement. For students, Audi plans to give as much as 6,000 euros reimbursement for tuition and test fees, as well as 10-work day exempts.
“Furthermore, we help to facilitate thesis projects, internships or real-world projects in Germany and abroad – and assign a subject-specific mentor to aid each participant,” Michael Gross, Audi personnel marketing chief added.
To take part in the program, employees need to have earned above-average grades in their field of specialization or university degree program, as well as complete an interview with their HR head. So far, 100 employees have signed up...
