Audi SQ5 Is a Great SUV for Polo Players

If you've always found the world of professional, you're not alone. Sure, it might not be as much of a spectacle as rugby, but it's got a classical feel to it and is largely played by gentlemen, sometimes ones with large bank accounts.

Unlike football fans who drink bear and paint their face, polo fans wear cashmere sweaters and drink champagne. Their car choices tend to be upmarket and refined, which is likely why Audi has its own polo team.

James Beim, now a pro polo player for 14 years, has been captain of the team for many very important games, the perfect man then to showcase the merits of his sport and the Audi brand.

Apparently, his magnificent animal and the new SQ5 have a lot in common. Acceleration, handling and speed are important for the both of them, and after a long day on the saddle, Beim says the car is comfortable and relaxing.

The SQ5 is a competent SUV. Equipped with its BiTDI 3.0-liter V6, it gets to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds and has to be electronically limited at 250 km/h (155 mph). Despite having 313 horsepower, it only demands 7.6 liters of fuel from its driver every 100 km (31 mph US).

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
