Audi S8 V10 Shamed by a BMW E92 335i

In 2005, the world was surprised by Audi at the Tokyo Auto Show, when they introduced the V10 S8. That car was a beast for its time and continued to do so until it was put to rest in 2011.

It had a 5.2-liter V10 FSI engine with 450 HP and 540 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque and the brilliant quattro all-wheel-drive system at its disposal, hooked up to an automatic 6-speed gearbox.

That was a brilliant car and now it's going against a newer BMW E92 335i, a car that has almost half the engine and 150 HP less than the Audi Behemoth. With a 3-liter 6-cylinder inline unit, 306 HP and 400 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque, the 335i seems like a sure target in front of the S8.

Things are not what they seem like though, as the Bavarian machine completely shames the S8 in a drag race. Sure, the quattro system is visible at the start, where the Audi leaps in front but towards the end of the race, the Bimmer steps in front. Check the video!
