Audi S5 Cabriolet Goes to Australia

Finally, German carmaker Audi launched its S5 cabriolet model in Australia, priced from AU$138,100. The car is powered by a supercharged, 3.0l V6 engine that outputs a peak power of 245 kW (329 hp), and maximum 440 Nm of torque between 2,900 and 5,300 rpm.

All this power enables the open-top from Audi to sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h, while achieving a combined fuel consumption of 9.7 l/100 km. The Audi S5 Cabriolet comes standard with servotronic speed sensitive steering, seven-speed S tronic transmission and quattro drivetrain.

As for exterior styling, the Sprint Blue, pearl effect paint finish is exclusive to the S5 Cabriolet, as are the 18-inch cast aluminum wheels which are shod with 245/40 tires. Furthermore, the black brake calipers are emblazoned with S5 emblems and a specially-tuned S sports suspension is standard fit for this model.

Inside, the Audi S5 Cabriolet boasts electrically adjustable sport seats covered in Alcantara leather and brushed aluminum inlays, the scales of the instruments are a subtle grey, while the pointers are illuminated white.

Sport seats covered in Silk Nappa or the climate-controlled comfort seats are available as options from Audi. The seat coverings are available in black, brown and three two-color combinations. The headlining is available in star silver and black. Inlays are available in carbon, fine grain birch wood and stainless steel mesh.

MMI Navigation Plus, Xenon Plus headlights, LED daytime driving lights, Advanced key access, electric, heated front seats, cruise control, Audi Parking System Plus and an acoustic soft-top, all come as standard equipment.
