Audi S1 and Abarth 695 Biposto Owners Compare Their Yellow Cars

Only car fans can recognize that the Audi S1 is not an A1 and differentiate the Abarth 695 from a regular Fiat 500. But it takes a hardcore car fan to know in which ways these yellow twins are compromised.

Is this video for the uncultured masses, so that they too can learn that a 4-meter car can weight as much as a small SUV? No, it's for people who like the color yellow and/or vlogging.

For example, the quattro AWD system in the Audi S1 comes with an almost overwhelming amount of shortcomings. For example, it adds weight and never makes you feel like being in a mini Evo or STI. As for the Abarth, it's a noisy, high-strung racer based on a shopping cart for girls.

YouTube car vlogging means that people from hundreds of miles away now have reason to meet up and talk about their passions. Is having two small cars, both in yellow, reason enough to make a comparison? It would have been for Chris Harris. What separates this from a professional review, only fancy words and the use of track.

The Biposto is one of the most extreme small cars ever made, right up there with the Renault 5 Turbo. The interior has been stripped down to almost nothing; the trunk is just a net stretched over scaffolding, and there's no radio. That point keeps coming up in the review of the yellow car owned by the Seen Through Glass editor.

Before saying that there's no way a little Fiat 500 can ever be fast, watch this drag race where the Biposto humiliates the modern Renault Megane GT. But all Abarth models come with serious compromises. For example, the seating position and the placement of the steering wheel put most people off.

Immediately after the two step out of the Fiat and into the Audi, it become apparent that the S1 doesn't deserve the S badge and isn't much fun eiter. The quattro AWD isn't there for drifting, like in the Focus RS, and the 2-liter turbo engine can barely be heard. 231 horsepower isn't too much power for the wheels of the Golf GTI or the MINI JCW, so why here?

Still, if you're looking for the best made Audi A1, possibly even the most luxurious supermini, this is it.There aren't that many nice things to say about it, though.
