Audi RS7 Triplets: Nagoro Blue, Estoril Blue and Sepang Blue

In 1987, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman and Phil Stanton created the Blue Man Group, combining the percussion and humor. They starred in some fizzy drink commercials and are the first thing we thought of when we saw this photo.

Three brand spanking new Audi RS7 sitting together under one roof is something special, but these three a triplets, finished in slightly different shades of the same color: Nogaro Blue, Estoril Blue and Sepang Blue. All are really cool colors, but everybody has a favorite. Being a child of the 90s, this editor's first choice is Nogaro Blue. Pastels were just so cool back then and they bring back imagery of the RS2 Avant, air-cooled Porsche 911s and the Opel Astra by Bertone.

Estoril Blue is definitely the odd one of the group. It's too dark for the RS7 and reminds us of all the S5 we've seen finished in that color. It's also the name of a famous BMW sportscar color, so it's a bit confusing for any German car fan.

The triplets were recently brought together by Audi Exchange a large chain of Audi dealerships from the American Midwest. In a recent post they made on Facebook, the company announced that the Nogaro and Estoril are sold, but the Sepang is still available. So if you have upwards of $100,000 to spend on a blue Audi, you now know where to find one.

Launched at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, the RS7 Sportback is a substantial five-door coupe with the heart of an RS6. Thanks to a 560 horsepower twin-turbo V8, the sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) takes just 3.9 seconds, and the speed governor can be deactivated upon customer request to permit a top speed of up to 305 km/h (189.52 mph). Audi's answer to the CLS 63 AMG is also relatively efficient and consumes on average just 9.8 liters of fuel per 100 km (24.00 US mpg).

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
