With incredible specs and a dashing new look the Audi RS4 Nogaro selection payed its tribute to the original car launched nearly 20 years ago, that started the whole RS madness: the RS2 Avant.
Dressed to the aces, in the exact same Nogaro blue, pearl effect paint finish, the new Audi stunned the crowd when it set its first wheel on the stage. Details like the frame of the Singleframe grille and the window surrounds painted gloss-black and the matte black roof rails were to be discovered later on.

The magic, though, happens under the bonnet. A 4.2-liter, high-revving naturally aspirated V8 engine is responsible with turning this people carrier into a missile, making no less than 450 HP and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque between 4,000 and 6,000 RPM.

Using the traditional quattro all-wheel-drive system and a seven-speed S Tronic gearbox, the car is capable of doing 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 4.7 seconds and then go up to a top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h), going well beyond the usual speed restrictions people abide.

As always, the quattro system is the centerfold of this car. With its intelligent self-locking crown gear centre differential, at any time, it can decide to send up to 70% of the power to the front axle or 85% to the rear, depending on your needs.

Styling-wise, it’s the usual treats with a twist. On the outside, you’ll be greeted by huge 20” rims featuring trademark 5-V-Spoke design and red-painted brake calipers wearing the RS emblem, hiding behind them, grasping at internally ventilated and perforated wave design brake discs (you can go for ceramic brakes too, for a hefty sum).

Inside you can have your pick out of two upholstery choices for the seats, the sides being wrapped in black Valcona leather whilst Alcantara takes care of the center sections. Door and dash trims are available in either black or Nogaro blue whilst the armrests are covered in black leather with blue contrasting stitching.

The car will be made in a limited run for Europe and will go on sale later on this year, for a matching price tag, of course. At the moment, the officials are still debating whether it’s viable to make a right-hand drive model.
