Audi RS4 Avant with Austin Yellow Paintjob Spotted: It's a BMW M4 Color

We don't know if the BMW M4 made its Austin Yellow color famous or the color made the car famous, but the two go together perfectly. This metallic tone is almost like quicksilver in the way it seems to move with the light. But it seems Audi fans now want to claim it as their own.

A brand new RS4 Avant recently arriving at Audi Forum Neckarsulm surprised everybody late last week. How? It was finished in Austin Yellow. This is currently the oldest out of all the RS models, so it's the least worthy to pretend it's a sporty BMW coupe. Not to mention the fact that its wagon body looks bloated in comparison with the svelte M4.

We think the RS4 looks best in standard red with black wheels, but the metallic yellow tone works well with 5-spoke turbine wheels and clubsport black chrome trim. Even the interior has been touched by the color, though with the exception of the seats, everything looks dated.

To further prove that not everything is black and silver in Audi land, we've found another RS4 Avant that's been recently delivered to the same Audi Forum. This time, the customer chose something called Veneziaviolett Perleffekt, Venice Violet Pearl to you and me. Makes you wonder why everybody is buying the RS4, an expensive and outdated wagon with relatively high fuel consumption.

Both the RS4 and the RS5 are powered by a screaming 4.2-liter FSI V8 engine pushing 450 hp to all four wheels. Our wagon hero costs from €77,900 in Germany and can push up to 1,430 liters of cargo to 280 km/h if de-restricted.
