Audi RS4 Avant Finished in Peridot Green by Audi Exclusive

Just like Porsche, Audi has a special division that caters to every need and desire that a client with full pockets might have. And it seems that one of them has some rather strange taste in cars because he payed a lot of money for this RS4 Avant in Peridot Green.

For those of you who don't know, Peridot is a gem olivine (yes, that means it's green) used in jewelry. Usually, the few people who know of this color associate it with Porsches. Unless we're mistaken, it was the launch color of both the previous generation Cayman R and the pre-facelift Cayenne GTS, though it was available on other models as well.

Now, an RS4 is wearing it and it doesn't look half bad. Maybe this German customer previously owned a Cayman R and now needs a family car in his driveway, but hates SUV. Regardless of the reason, even the cabin has coated in places with this shade, which can even be seen on the steering wheel stitching. Audi Exclusive designed special inserts for the dash, upper doors and center console in Paridot, but covered the rest of the cabin in Alcantara and black leather.

This Audi RS4 Exclusive. The model itself is among the oldest Audis still in production and the years really haven't been kind to it. Compare it to the brand new C63 AMG Estate and you're sure to find Mercedes has the better looking car. However, the RS4 is an honest machine that's powered by a normally aspirated 4.2-liter FSI V8 which revs all the way to 8,500rpm and develops 450 PS (331 kW) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque.

Using quattro all-wheel drive, it accelerates the top-spec Avant from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 280 km/h (173.98 mph) if de-restricted.
