Remember when Audi pushed its already crazy 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine to 260 hp for the TT-RS Plus? Well, that powerplant has now been fitted to a Q3, with the crossover also receiving an RS badge.
So, the Germans are giving us the RS Q3, a compact crossover that can hit 62 mph in 5.2 seconds and offers a top speed of 165 mph (265 km/h), with a seven-speed, dual-clutch S-Tronic transmission also helping.

However, there’s also a tech part of the car we’re not so proud of: it’s quattro AWD system, which, unlike in other RS vehicles, sends most of the power to the front wheels and only shares it with the rear axle when this is necessary.

The RS Q3 is dressed in a typical Audi go-fast manner, comes with an interior that offers multiple sporty accents, rides 25 mm (1 inch) closer to the road and uses 20-inch rims wrapped in 255/20 tires.

The vehicle will be shown at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing as a concept and is expected to become a real car subsequently.
