Audi has no influence in the motorcycle world per se, at least not if we leave Ducati ownership aside. Still, an Audi-branded motorcycle is one of the predilect day-dreams of designers and we even met riders who hoped that the four circles would one day go two-wheeled.
After a long talk with the Ducati XDiavel product manager Stefano Tarabusi, we learned that Audi has nothing to do with the way Ducati works, and has no influence over the machines Borgo Panigale delivers.

As this status quo for Ducati seems to be left untouched, our only hope remains that Audi one day starts dreaming about trying to see what a bike created by them might look like.

Damien Vizcarra is the man behind the 5:11 am design company, and he decided it was time to try his hand at imagining what an Audi superbike might bring to the real-world game.

His renderings are, unfortunately, only a glimpse into one of the futures that we may, or may not live to see. How much of his stunning work can be put into a road-going machine is still a thing of mystery and opinions from bike engineers are most welcome.

Audi RR tells the aesthetics story, with function being left in the background

At this stage, we should not be looking for functionality, as the Audi RR concept is all about styling. It doesn't provide answers, but rather asks numerous new questions motorcycle manufacturers could also be interested in.

Single-sided ends are not exactly a new thing in the business, but a single-sided fork for a superbike is not one of the things we stumble upon every day. Not sure how the fork's deflector would impact aerodynamics at higher speed.

And given the fact that Damien Vizcarra's Audi RR may combine the petrol engine with an electric motor, speed and acceleration would not be a problem, certainly. In case anyone at Audi hears this, the eTron may want a baby brother...
