Audi Reveals 2011 DTM Liveries

Audi will make the DTM field this season with no less than 9 racers, 4 of which will be factory supported, while the other 5 will be one-year old machines. And if the multi-car scheme will be pretty much the same as last year, with some slight changes in terms of drivers lineup, the color configuration of each car will be totally different for the 2011 campaign.

And the first driver to showcase this new change in color scheme is double DTM champion Timo Scheider, whose factory A4 will feature a basic white color, adorned with the logos of monthly magazine "AUTO TEST", Nintendo and Audi Top Service.

The other driver in the Audi Sport Team Abt lineup, British racer Oliver Jarvis, will also start the new campaign with a changed look, as his A4 DTM will feature logos from AUDI AG and the Audi Bank.

Mattias Ekstrom will be one of the few drivers not to tackle the new season with a new livery, as his car will once again showcase the blue-colored logos of Red Bull energy drink. His new teammate for 2011, Mike Rockenfeller, will drive the yellow-colored Deutsche Post AG A4 DTM, whose livery will also comprise E-POSTBRIEF products.

Having been “relegated” by Audi to their customer team Audi Sport Team Phoenix, former works driver Martin Tomczyk's car will have a luminous yellow at the front and green at the back, with the logos of LuK and INA all over the place.

Rahel Frey, the the only woman in Audi's DTM lineup this year, will drive a gold colored Audi A4 DTM in 2011, featuring the logos of Glamour magazine.

Audi Sport Team Rosberg will not come with a whole new livery for 2011, as the team's brand new drivers Edoardo Mortara and Filipe Albuquerque will drive A4 DTMs featuring the classic “TV Movie” (Albuquerque) and “Playboy” (Mortara) liveries from the past.

Finally, Audi Red Bull Junior Team's Miguel Molina, who won Rookie of the Year honors last year, will drive a car that, except for the yearly specs, will comprise the same exact livery and logos as Ekstrom's.

With the AUTO TEST magazine and Deutsche Post he have managed to gain two strong new partners for our DTM program,” said Head of Audi Motorsport Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich.

Furthermore, our many trusted partners like Red Bull and the Schaeffler Group are still on board. This speaks volumes for the Audi brand and the DTM. I’m sure the fans and especially TV viewers will be particularly pleased that we bring a very colorful mix of easily identifiable cars to the grid.”
