Audi Releases Black Edition Trim for A4 and A5

Audi has released info concerning its new Black Edition spec for the A4 and A5 to be introduced on the UK market. Based on the S-Line trim level, the package adds a gloss black grille surround, matt black window tint, number plate and fog lights surround, door handles in body color and 19 inch 'rotor' design dark titanium-finish alloy rims fitted with 255/35 R19 tires.

In terms of performance, the Black Edition package leaves the engine untouched.

The interior bears a piano black trim and a Bang & Olufsen stereo with a DAB digital radio and iPod interface. The A4 saloon also gets the Audi parking system plus, which includes front and rear parking sensors together with a visual display inside the car.

The Black Edition package is available with all A4 and A5 Coupe engine variants and is about GBP1,250 more expensive than the S line trim level. Audi claims the package net worth is GBP1,400.

Prices for the A4 start at 27,220 pounds and rise up to GBP38,325. The A5 Coupe is priced at GBP31,175 for the 1.8-liter TFSI with a manual transmission and go all the way up to GBP40,905 for the 3.2 FSI quattro tiptronic variant.

Audi has also introduced a Technik spec for the A4. It is based on the SE model and adds leather seats, DVD satellite navigation system, Audi Music Interface (AMI) and Audi parking system plus. The package is available with 2.0 liter and 3.0 liter diesel engines in saloon or Avant estate forms. Prices range from GBP26,705 to GBP34,480.
