As is the case with its close sibling, the Lamborghini Huracan, the second-generation of the Audi R8 is a supercar that can be used on a daily basis. In fact, one of the most important limitations in terms of the Ingolstadt machine's practicality comes from the cargo capacity, or rather lack thereof.
The R8's nose can only accommodate a small amount of one's stuff, while the mid-engined layout of the beast means there isn't too much space behind the seats.

Well, we've brought along a rendering that aims to cater to the needs of those who would love to use an R8 for traveling with more than just their credit card. To be more precise, this render brings us an Audi R8 V10 Shooting Brake.

The image comes from Instagram label J.B. Cars, who constantly likes to deliver this sort of eye candy. Speaking of which, this isn't the most outstanding R8 the label has offered. That title has to go to the Spyder model that received a face transplant, getting the nose of the Lamborghini Urus (here's the rendering, in case you missed it)

Now, the pixel play we have here might not be as weird as you'd expect. For one thing, another Volkswagen Group brand, namely Bentley, saw a coachbuilder turn one of its machines into a shooting brake at the beginning of the decade. And while the mid-engined nature of the R8 means the comparison is not entirely legit, we'll bring you the details of the Crewe model anyway.

We're talking about the Continental GT, which became the Flying Star (Flying Spur luxury sedan pun intended) with the help of Carrozzeria Touring.

Shaped in Italy, the bodywork behind the A-pillar relies mostly on carbon fiber and took 4,000 hours to complete. And the specialist let it slip that the luggage area of the contraption can accommodate four full-size gold bags, even with the rear seats up.

Then again, the company asked around $1 million for the creation, so we expect that its 20-unit sales prediction was a bit optimistic.
