Audi wanted to make a very serious alternative to the 911 when they came out with the R8, but all people saw was a mid-engined Lamborghini on a budget. And so, most have ended up with extra bits and pieces meant to give them that lunacy Ingolstadt never installed.
This one is a little different. It was born a lunatic, a 560 horsepower, snarling freak with a convertible top and carbon fiber bits.
And so the changes made to the R8 V10 GT Spyder by SR Auto were limited to just one element: new PUR Ten wheels, colored in gloss bronze and gripping the road via a massive 12-inch slip of rubber.
