US specialist MAcarbon recently launched a set of carbon fiber paddles for the Audi R8, targeting the German vehicle’s facelifted models, namely the 2013 and 2014 model years.
One may point out that Audi did extend the paddles by about one inch (2.5 centimetres) as part of the minor revamp brought for the 2013 model year. Nonetheless, MAcarbon claims that its customers simply wanted more.
Thus, they came up with these things, dubbed “the hooks”. We are actually talking about paddle extensions, which the tuner claims “are super easy to install in minutes with double sided tape and adhesion promoter that we include”
Despite this, they never mention anything on the ergonomics argument that usually take place between such large paddles and the wiper / lights controllers.
