German publication Auto Motor und Sport seems to have the scoop on the future Audi lineup. According to them, the Q1 crossover isn’t that likely, though it’s likely still being discussed. But Audi likely wants to move in a completely different direction more upmarket premium vehicles for the middle class.
To this end, they are going to introduce the Q4 in 2014, which is going to be a stylish version of the Q5 with better lines. This will be developed together with the Porsche Cajun. It will not get any two-door configuration, instead focusing only on the four-door coupe Sports Utility Coupe configuration. The platform of the car will be a bit longer than the Q5, so the coupe body will have only 50 liters less boot space than the Q5.
As for the rumored A9 flagship sedan, this will be launched at the 2013 IAA in Frankfurt. We have seen no prototypes of the car yet, and so we’re inclined not to believe this, but the German source insists the Mercedes CL rival will arrive, powered by a twelve-cylinder engine in its top configuration.
