When it was launched a couple of years ago, the Audi Q3 came with a relatively simple engine family. You could have it with any engine, just as long as it was a 2-liter.
The same rule applies to the SUV models sold in China, but with a little twist. Most versions are sold there under the name "Q3 35 TFSI" and are powered by a 2-liter FSI engine producing 125 kW or 170 PS. There's also a much more expensive 40 TFSI powered by the turbo version of that engine that gets 200 PS. Soon though, a more mainstream Q3 will also become available.
Reports fro China suggests the Q3 30 TFSI will make its official debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April. It will be powered by a 1.4-liter TSI turbo engine, being the smallest displacement unit ever fitted to this car. Output will likely be 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque for this entry model available only with front-wheel drive. Prices will also drop by as much as 20% over the current mode.
