Audi Promotes Restrained Power of RS6 By Comparing It to a Boxing Referee

When we think of boxing, the top fighters of the world come to mind – the Klitschko brothers or Mayweather, not to mention older champions like Ali or Tyson. Everybody wants to be as strong or as fast as they are, without ever giving a second thought about the guy who has decades of boxing experience and has the hard job of stopping the fighters when they get out of line.
Audi says their RS6 Avant is exactly like that: powerful but not in a conventional way.

At first, their ad wasn't that cool. But we played it for a second and a third time and suddenly it made more sense. The moment when the referee says tell the powerful boxer "don't do that, don't do that", that's when you think of traction control and torque vectoring.

There's no doubt the RS6 Avant is a powerful car, but a working man like that isn't going to buy a $100,000 German toy, and that's where they missed their mark. If this was an "Imported from Detroit" ad, it would have been spot-on.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
