Audi's Media Services department have just let slip that the new A3 Cabriolet, which we've been following for a long time now, will finally be revealed soon.
An Internet debut will take place this Sunday, September 8th, at 00:01 AM CEST (yes, that's right after midnight). Although there's no mention of this in their statement, the A3 Cabriolet will also show up in Frankfurt the following week.

"The new Audi A3 Cabriolet: sporty, elegant and versatile. The compact four-seater captivates with its flowing lines and soft top. It is also at the top of its class technically – with systematic lightweight design, new engines, and high-performance assistance systems plus more versatile and faster networking thanks to LTE technology," Audi says.

Unlike the old A3 drop-top which resembled VW's picnic basket design, based on the hatch, this new model will actually have the third box, like the A5 Cabrio. If you want to know more about what to expect this Sunday, check out our spyshots of this new premium convertible. There's also an S3 version on the way.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
