Audi Offering Limited Edition A6 Avant

Audi is introducing the Limited Edition version for the Avant (station wagon) incarnation of the A6, after the version had previously been offered for the A6 saloon.

This means the German estate can now be fitted with a wide range of features that are aimed at increasing safety and comfort. The Limited Edition replaces both the Ambiente and Advanced equipment packages, which are no longer available for the 250 hp 4.2 FSI V8 engine.

Ticking the Limited Edition on the optional extras list means that your A6 Avant will be gifted with a Milano leather upholstery, Audi parking plus system, Xenon headlights, voice command, a DVD media unit, a Bluetooth connection for mobile phones, a on-board computer with a color display, MMI multimedia interface (this also includes a navigation system), a DSP sound system, a sports steering wheel that uses a leather finish, as well as metallic trimming.

Customers who choose this option have to pay EUR3,000 ($4,156) for the extra features. However, the package offers a 58 percent discount, compared to the individual price of the features.

We’ll remind you that Audi is currently working on the next generation of the A6 model, which is expected to be introduced at next year’s Frankfurt Auto Show. The upcoming vehicle will be based on Audi’s MLB modular aluminum chassis.

The vehicle’s engine range will include a supercharged 3.0 liter V6 unit (the engine from the Audi S4), a 4.0 liter V8, as well as multiple TDI diesel powerplants. The German company is expected to offer a more aggressive appearance to the next generation of the A6.
