People tend to forget what sort of animal the RS3 really is. Until its rivals from BMW and Mercedes arrive, it’s the most extreme hatch on the market. Despite its preference for understeer, the car is a true monster, being able to sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds.
With that sort of performance, it’s obvious that it’s one of the most sought after Audis, but they only ever sold 500 in the UK, which were all quickly gobbled up last year.
Now, Ingolstadt has decided the Brits have been good fans and deserve another 250, which will be available for the same £39,930 OTR price.
All of them will come with the same 2.5-liter engine, turbocharged to the tune of 335 bhp (340 PS) and 450Nm (332 lb-ft), all going to all four wheels via the S tronic double-clutch gearbox.
