Audi Neckarsulm Increases A6, A7 Production Due to Strong Demand

While Ford, Citroen or Renault are struggling with overcapacity at their European plants and are forced to cut workers, the Germans are largely unaffected by the European crisis. So many people are asking their dealers for new A6 and A7 models that the automaker is adding 12 extra work shifts at its plant in Neckarsulm to boost production.

Just like art and gold proved a safe heaven for investment during the crisis, so too did the luxury auto industry prove a safe-heaven. The segment has proven flexible and strong, adapting very well to demand.

However, we predict Audi’s most important car in the coming years will be the A3 Sedan. This four-door version of the luxury compact will officially bow next week at the New York Auto Show and is expected to see strong demand in China and the US.
