It is exactly what Audi plans to do this year, as it is getting ready to send the collection of old and new cars it has in its Museum on Wheels to events across Europe in 2011. In all, the German car maker and its cars will be attending more than 30 events, starting with classics like the Mille Miglia and ending with the Heidelberg Historic.
The cars that will be on display at the events we list below range from high performance NSU TT and Audi 50 models from the 1950s to iconic the Auto Union Type C and Type D “Silver Arrows” that have claimed the English Grand Prix races in Donington Park in 1937 and 1938.
The range of vehicles to be shown throughout Europe do not limit themselves at cars, but also include something Audi hasn't manufactured in a while: bikes. Post-war DKW racing bikes from the 1950s or a pre-war DKW racing motorcycle will also make the journey to some of the events.
