Audi Launches Young Edition A3

We like the look of Audi’s A3, but you have to admit the car is starting to show its age. In order to keep its loyal fans interested in the both the 3-door and the soft-top versions, the German carmaker has launched the new Young Edition for the European Market.

The A3 Young Edition is available for 3-door, Sportback and Cabriolet models and is based on the Attraction trim level. The major difference is the absence of heated mirrors, heated washer nozzles and outside temperature indicator. On all Young Edition models, the automatic Climatronic system in Attraction-equipped cars is replaced with semi-automatic Climatic.

The package is available in conjunction with a few of the smaller engines in the rage, including the 1.2-liter TFSI 105 hp and 1.6 TDI 90 hp for the A3 and A3 Sportback. In the case of the A3 Cabriolet, the two engines available are the 1.2 TFSI 105 hp and a 1.6 TDI that produces 105 hp.

Prices start at € 21,570 ($29,310) for the A3 1.2 TFSI 105 hp and go up to €28,630 ($38,900) for the A3 Cabriolet 1.6 TDI 105 hp.

In addition, for the A3 and A3 Sportback, customers can now order the Business package that includes center armrest with storage compartment, Concert Radio, cruise control, rear parking assistance system and Bluetooth interface. This will set you back €890 ($1,210), when ordered in conduction with either Attraction or Ambition II.

The paint finishes Volcano Red, Dakota Gray, Amethyst Gray and Scuba Blue are also new and there is a high-gloss 17-inch wheel in ten-spoke wheel design you can spec as an optional extra for the sporty Ambition equipment line.
