Honestly, for a second there we had to check our calendar to see if April 1st isn’t coming up. But no, it’s not, Christmas is. And what Audi has in mind could be the ideal gift for your rich husband if he’s into racing cars.
Audi has launched the R18 Ultra Chair at Design Miami this week (December 5 to 9). No, it’s not a racing chair pulled out of the Le Mans winner, but a carbon fiber piece of modern furniture designed by designers Clemens Weisshaar and Reed Kram.

Currently, it’s a prototype designed in cooperation with the Audi Lightweight Construction Center.

The part that takes your backside is actually made from carbon fiber, but for flexibility’s sake and style, the legs are made from aluminum.

The only problem is that to buy one, you ether have to know somebody high up at Audi or wait until they actually start production.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
