With the introduction of the Q8 SUV in June and its arrival at dealerships this week, Audi is now confident it has a complete range of cars to make up what it calls the full-size class family.
For the Germans, the dream team of cars in their parking lot is comprised of the Audi A8, Audi A7, Audi A6 and Audi Q8. And because they’re related, all these cars share the design language, the quattro system, and many more.

To make the world aware of what family really means, Audi released on Monday a photo gallery showing the four models (five, if you count the Avant version of teh A6). You can see them all in the gallery above.

The announcement of the line-up of new cars in this manner might be Audi’s way of taking the customers’ mind off the most recent salvo in the Dieselgate war, which caused the company’s still official CEO Rupert Stadler to land behind bars.

Audi says all of the cars in this full-size class are equipped with mild hybrid technology, linked to the vehicles’ sensors to allow them to provide greater efficiency. It permits the Audis to coast with the power plant shut off at speeds between 55 and 160 km/h (34.2 – 99.4 mph).

Audi’s mild-hybrid system uses a belt alternator starter that allows the restarting of the cars’ engines after the coasting period.

According to Audi, In the A7 and A6 model lines, the mild hybrid provides up to 0.3 liters (0.1 US gal) lower fuel consumption.

As for the Q8 newcomer, it brings a few premieres to both the brand itself and its Q family. First, we have the Singleframe in octagonal design body, which would be featured on all future models wearing the nameplate.

In the document attached below you can find all the details on the cars that make up Audi’s full-class family, as released by the German automaker.
