Earlier this year, Audi launched the e-tron SUV, a reiteration of a recipe tried before by the brand with four rings with little success.
Meant as a model that will make the transition from electric cars built on ICE platforms to the ones constructed on the purpose-built Volkswagen MEB, the e-tron SUV is not very likely to become a sales hit.

It is, however, the perfect tool to advertise Audi’s electric dreams, and in the coming months we’ll probably see crazy ideas with the e-tron at its center pop up all over the place.

Take, for instance, the game created at the myAudi Sphere at the Munich Airport. There, the carmaker has envisioned an escape room-type game to allow participants to get acquainted with technology included in the SUV.

Just as with any other such games, visitors are asked to hunt for clues in a series of rooms, solve puzzles, including ones related to the e-tron, and eventually discover the “mysterious puzzle about an expert who was working on the model.”

To make this journey of e-tron discovery even more unique, Audi has installed futuristic sound effects and light simulations.

The carmaker did not say if finding the name of the respective expert is the goal of the game.

As said, this e-tron is just one in a line of many. This line of cars started with the e-tron in 2009, continued with the A1 e-tron (2010), e-tron Spyder (2010), A3 e-tron (2012), two e-tron R8s and several other concepts.

Unlike all the others, this e-tron will actually sell to customers all over the world. The electric drivetrain of the e-tron is comprised of a central-mounted 95 kW battery and two motors to spin the wheels. The two electric motors develop 355 hp and 561 Nm (413.8 lb-ft) of torque.

Prices for the car start at 79,900 Euros in Europe and at $74,800 in the United States.
