Audi DTM Team on the Streets of Graz

Sometime in history, is has become a common practice for racing teams to perform something of a spectacle prior to a given race. Aside for building confidence for the drivers, these spectacles are a great way for the public in the area where the race will take place to get into the right mood.

The return of DTM to Austria, for the race at the Red Bull Ring, has been properly celebrated by the Audi team, who took to the center of Graz this weekend its two drivers, Miguel Molina and Martin Tomczyk, and their pit crew. In front of them stood a crows bigger than those attending music concerts. And the star of the show, the Audi A4 DTM.

Meanwhile, the car maker is preparing for more than one important racing events. First, there's the race at Spielberg, where Mattias Ekstrom expects to experience, once again, one of the craziest DTM races of his career.

And then there's the mother of all races, the 24 hours Le Mans, that follows shortly after the DTM race in Austria.

“The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the greatest motorsport spectacles of all time and Audi has a victorious tradition there which it would love to continue,”
said Ekstrom.

“Everybody has worked hard to be successful again, which is why I wish the guys all the best and especially “Rocky” and my former DTM team mate Tom Kristensen. When I have a free weekend myself then my family gets my attentions – but on June 11 and 12 the Audi R18 TDI will obviously be seen on my television.”
