Audi Drivers Kept Busy During DTM Summer Brake

Last week, Audi DTM drivers Timo Scheider and Oliver Jarvis got involved in a celebrity kart race for charity purposes, with the proceeds going to the “Hour of the Heart” foundation. During the same event, Timo Scheider also did a demo drive with the Audi A4 DTM.

Markus Winkelhock also had a charity mission to complete, as he participated in the German TV show “Angel in Action,” visiting a family in the Hunsruck region, whose home had been severely damaged by flooding.

Alexandre Premat, on the other hand, had some other important business to take care of, probably one of the most important so far. The Audi driver took advantage of the DTM summer brake and married his partner for many years, Cleo.

The company also revealed what it has prepared for this weekend at the Nurburgring, including a parade of 24 Audi A5 Coupe cars, which will complete a lap around the Grand Prix circuit in the Eifel during the "Audi Drive Away".

Fans attending the DTM race at Nurburgring this weekend will also be able to see the Audi drivers behind the wheel of nine RC model race cars. Each of the Audi A4 1:10-scale touring cars has been painted according to the color schemes of the original Audi DTM race cars.

“The Audi DTM squad will be visited by Member of the Management Board Michael Dick at the Norisring. In addition to the board member who is responsible for Technical Development, Peter Mosch, the Chairman of the Joint Works Council at Audi, and Norbert Rank, the Chairman of the Local Works Council in Neckarsulm, are expected at the circuit in the Eifel,” a company statement reads.
