Audi has always had the ambition of being king of the hot hatch hill and, in terms of hp, it has succeeded. The carmaker's current hot hatch fighter is the RS3 Sportback, a compact monster that relies on a 340 hp 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged engine borrowed from the TT-RS to gain speed faster that you can say "wow!".
The RS3 packs an astonishing 340 hp, a value that seems impossible for a production hatchback.
This is exactly why we don't believe that AudiBlog.nl's rumor that Audi is working on an even more powerful version, called RS3 Plus, is true.
Based on a screenshot that allegedly comes from an Audi dealer, the rumors shows the the RS3 will be offered in the future. It seems that the vehicle, which will pack 360 hp, will be offered in Europe starting from May next year.
However, there is one argument in favor of this - when Audi offered the TT-RS on the US market, it brought the exact power bump. As much as we wish this was true, we still can't say anything to support it.
