About a year ago, Audi unveiled the Crosslane Coupe concept at the Paris Motor Show. Yes, we're talking about that hybrid vehicle that's a coupe, a convertible and a crossover at once. The funkies Audi even penned, right? Well, not quite. The funkiest four-ringer was recently conceived by automotive manipulator Theophilus Chin.
Called CrossTown Coupe, the virtual concept car is based on the Crosslane Coupe and comes with a box at the back. Yes, it's no longer a coupe-convertible-crossover, but a coupe-convertible-pickup truck. It's cool and pointless at the same time, and that's what makes it special. We'll be getting one of these in production form? Certainly not!
But let's say Audi goes fully retarded and conceives a vehicle like that... something unheard of will happen. The CrossTown Coupe will become the most fuel efficient truck in the world if it sports the same powertrain as the Crosslane concept, which is a 1.5-liter TFSI/electric motor combo that supposedly returns 214 mpg and 1.1 liters/100 km.
