From a way to connect people, Facebook has evolved into an invaluable communication and marketing took that connects fans and people with similar goals and interests. Knowing this, Audi of Japan recently decided to celebrate the fact that its Facebook page reached 200,000 fans in a special way.
The company commissioned a traditional public bath artist called Mizuki Tanaka to paint a mural. She used only four colors to do so, red, blue, yellow and white. In the video below, you can actually watch her at work on the mural, as the artist uses the famous Mount Fuji to tie German cars into Japanese tradition.
Public baths, called sento, have long been a part of Japanese culture, a fact known by pretty much anybody who's watched one of their movies. This one though is a little bit special, since it features a huge mural of an Audi R8 Spyder sportscar and lots of other small touches, like decorated curtains and wooden buckets.
If you happen to live in Japan and like Audis, the mural can be seen until October 31st at the Daini Hinode-Yu bath house in Tokyo, one of the few to still use natural hot spring water. It's open until 12.30AM and the entry fee is 460 year (about $4 or €3.5) per adult.
