As the visitors take over from the auto journalists at the Mondial de l’Automobil 2012, our job is done. One of the biggest shows this year has been Audi, who’s gigantic booth was jam packed with people.
At first glance, the debut’s weren’t that numerous – a couple of new compacts, the A3 Sportback and S3, the sporty new diesel SQ5 SUV, the RS5 Cabriolet and the R8 facelift.

However, fans of the Vorsprung durch Technik flocked to check out other cars they were interested in, like the A4 or the TT. At the Audi Shop, Audi offers the four-ringed branded goods, and there was also a chance to experience the personalization options Ingolsadt offers.

For a look into the future, Audi presented the new Crosslane Concept, which previews a new crossover, most likely the Q2. We honestly liked this very much and really hope they keep the overall shape. There aren’t enough short wheelbase two-door SUV out there, and a convertible would be risky but interesting.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
