Audi sent its latest hybrid model, the A6, on a tour of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, an urban center that mixes old and new, as well as elements from different cultures.
The A6 Hybrid is their second ever production hybrid model after he Q5 hybrid quattro. It employs a 2.0 TFSI combustion petrol engine that works together with the electric motor that delivers an extra 45 hp (33 kW) and 211 Nm (155.63 lb-ft) of torque.
A crash-protected area of the luggage compartment houses a light, compact lithium-ion battery that provides 1.3 kWh of power delivered at 39 kW of energy. Thanks to this, the A6 hybrid will do 100 km/h in purely electric mode. At a constant speed of 60 km/h (37.28 mph), Audi engineers found it has a range of 3 km.
Audi’s claim is that this system makes as much power as a V6 engine. It accelerates in 7.3 seconds from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph), top speed is 238 km/h (148 mph) and the average fuel consumption is 6.2 liters per 100 km (37 mpg US).
