Audi recently revealed the so-called Advanced Special limited edition A6, a new range that comes in both sedan and avant configurations. The limited series is obviously featuring several unique features, as compared to the base versions of the A6 and is available with a 2.0 TDI engine developing either 136 or 170 horsepower and complying with Euro 5 regulations.
Feature highlights include Bluetooth support, multimedia display, navigation system, hard drive and an advanced audio system, sports multifunction steering wheel and metallic paint. All of them are bringing a consumer saving of 4,075 euro. As for pricing, the 2.0 TDI 136 hp sedan costs 38,950 euro while the 170 hp is sold for 39,900 euro. On the other hand, the Avant costs 41,250 and 42,200 euro, respectively.
A Multitronic transmission is also offered as an option with a price tag of 2,350 euro.
A sport package is also available, comprising features usually available on the S line, such as 18-inch wheels with 5- or 10-spoke design and glossy black grille. The package is offered with a discount of 50 percent.
In standard configuration, the A6 is offered with a wide array of engines, including gasoline and diesel options, mated to either manual or automatic transmission. The top-of-the-range option is a 4.2-liter V8 unit that develops 350 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 324.5 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm. This means the car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 155.3 mph (250 km/h), with fuel consumption reaching 23.1 mpg (10.2 L/100Km) in combined conditions.
