We’ve said this time and time again, but you really can’t buy the Audi A6 Avant without the BiTDI engine. Well… you can, but you shouldn’t, because this is the only blend of torque and efficiency that can possibly make you happy.
The twin-turbo diesel provides ample power 313 PS available across a relatively wide band. If that doesn’t sound like much, then consider the fact that the 1994 S6 Avant only had 280 PS from a V8 engine. That, gentlemen, is what we call progress.

And so is this. Taking what was already a powerful engine in just a few hours giving customers an even more powerful one is what chip tuning is all about. This next clip shows what can happen if you boots the engine into the next level of performance. A company called DieselPower race engineering, better know as DP-Race, have dynoed their creation at a massive 405 PS and 853 Nm of torque. That’s more than you get from most V8 diesels on the market!

We also found an older clip by ShifTech from a year ago, where the A6 allroad quattro with the same engine is targeted, with about 360 PS as a dyno result.
